When does Autumn officially start? It all depends on which calendar you follow...
According to the meteorological calendar, the first autumn day is Monday 1st September 2025. However, the astronomical calendar is based on the position of the Sun in relation to the Earth and changes each year, known as the autumn equinox. This year, it falls on Monday 22nd September 2025. In the meantime, we find ourselves with bumper crops of fruits of all kinds - from hedgerow to garden orchard. And lots of Re-Betchworth Autumn activities coming up...
