Preparing for a changed climate - save the date

People’s Emergency Briefing - save the date! What’s happening with climate and nature, what actions can we take and what does it mean for everyday life in our homes and communities here in East Surrey?

Working alongside Re-Betchworth and the 4Bs Biodiversity Group, Betchworth Parish Council invites you to join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing.

when: Monday 26th October 2026
time: 7pm-9pm
where: Betchworth Memorial Village Hall, RH3 7DF

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing held in Westminster, with reactions from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, Jennifer Saunders and a range of voices from across the UK. It brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence on climate change and why extreme weather matters for things like food security, health and the cost of living

Following the film, we will host an open discussion on the practical actions we can take individually and together as a community to mitigate the effects of climate change, protect our environment and our future.

This is a free event but do make sure you REGISTER FOR YOUR TICKET HERE as space is limited.
