Wildflower wander

 wildflower meadow April24

This is a rare chance to explore a stunning local nature reserve not usually open to the public

As part of a series of Nature Awareness Days arranged by 4Bs Community Biodiversity Park, Simon Humphreys, Voluntary Reserve Manager, will be running two free guided walks at Surrey Wildlife Trust's Fraser Down Nature Reserve, on Pebble Hill. The area is protected and designated as both a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC).

This is a wonderful opportunity to visit a private chalk grassland reserve, haven to many wild flowers and butterfly species. By this time of the year cowslips will be at their peak and the early butterflies on the wing and in June Orchids and lots of other wild flowers should be in full bloom.

Walk 1: Saturday 27 April from 10-12.30 am
Walk 2: Saturday 8 June from 2pm - 4.30pm

Places are limited due to the sensitivity of the site so you must book in advance by emailing:
simonhinsurrey@gmail.com
You will recieve details of where to meet and park once you have booked.

Please note, the ground is steep and uneven in places...
